Kevin Whitby is a fourth year Hufflepuff during Dumbledore's Army and the Year of Darkness. Kevin is killed during the year, when Dementors and Death Eaters come to take him away with the rest of his family, Susan and Ernie try to keep them from taking Kevin, but Kevin says he will go. Then, instead of simply taking him to Azkaban, they kill him.
